Insight Eleven – Manchester’s Greatest gaze into their Crystal Balls

I was privileged today to be speaking alongside  some of Manchester’s most respected and successful business leaders at Andy and Nicky’s (Don’t Panic) Insights Eleven event.

Tony from Code, Nicky from BJL, Mike from MC2 and Richard from Latitude were just 4 of several hugely respected names brought together to consider what the emerging trends are in their sector for 2011.

I’ve never been a fan of 2011 predictions. Social media if anything, is good at creating noise, and, well, the internet is infected with a whole host of blog posts predicting little more than the latest shiny thing. This event was very different though. Everyone (and I do mean everyone) spoke with a confidence that proves that they have the knowledge and experience to know what is around the corner. From a purely commercial point of view, they have to – they are running their own businesses.

I sincerely hope that we have a closing event at the end of the year to see how we all fared!
