blending the mix? what’s that all about?
Blending the mix is my personal blog which will hopefully help many of those more traditional direct marketeers understand how new technology can become an everyday essential tool in the traditional marketing mix – and conversely, for the younger generations, how good-old conventional DM still has a place in the era of Web 2.0.
After spending over 12 years on both sides of the coal face, designing, printing, implementing, analysing and ultimtely, being taken in by every type of direct marketing media there is (!), as well as having successfully launched 1 conventional mail order and 2 new media retail companies, I would hope that you find my comments interesting but above all – useful.
It has taken me a long time and much hard work to get to where I am now and having used both traditional (print) and new media (internet) tools extensively, I hope that I am able to communicate the relative merits of both to you all.
